Dlogger Update: Macho
Macho got a bath yesterday for the first time since like, December. He thinks he looks pretty good, and I must admit: I agree!
While we’re here… there was some concern a couple weeks ago about Macho’s recovery, or really lack thereof. He was still limping a lot and the surgeon wasn’t happy with his progress. He told me to give him two more weeks then follow up. Two weeks is today and I’m so thankful to report he’s doing much better! The surgeon confirmed it after watching a video I sent to him via email. How’s that for service?!
I didn’t know Macho was so interested in ice pops.
Just after this picture, he grabbed the whole stick and ran… well, hobbled away with it and I had to pry his mouth open to get it back. Jerk.
I’ve been documenting Macho’s recovery in my iPad’s “Notes” app, but decided to take it to ye ole blog. Prior to his surgery I Googled a lot about the injury and procedure and came across a ton of personal stories which helped in understanding what was happening and how the recovery would/should go. So my hopes are that if someone else is in need of answers, wondering if something is normal or not, or just another story to relate to, they will find this.
This is very, very long, but hopefully informative.
…and Macho is completely over crate rest, as evident by his nonstop whining.
7 more weeks of this, huh?
