Regular compliment or backhanded?

This morning I backed into my parking spot at work, as I always do.

I do this so I can get out ASAP.

As I was getting out of my car, an older man walking by said “nice parking job!” and sounded very surprised.

I am not really feminist in any sense of the word, but it almost seemed like he was astounded that a girl in 4” platform heels was behind the wheel.

  3. lifeactuallyis said: I try and back in as much as possible. I think it’s easier than pulling in sometimes and it’s definitely easier when quick escapes are necessary. I get stares every time like people are shocked it was a woman so I step out and walk with my head held high.
