Guys. I cannot make this up. What I’m about to tell you, I can’t even believe it happened.
I was just out walking Macho, working on his leash manners, when this crazy, wacko, dog neighbor (I don’t even know her name) stopped in her car as she was leaving the complex. She rolled her window down and said, “Does he go after squirrels?”
I told her that no he didn’t “go after squirrels” and that he’s interested in watching them and would probably chase one if he was off a leash, but we never let that happen.
She then went on to say that “her” [wild] tailless squirrel, who she’s been fucking raising since it was a baby (told you I can’t make this up) has been missing for a couple of days and she didn’t know if it was one of the fox who lives behind her condo or MACHO who killed it!
SHE FUCKING ACCUSED MACHO OF KILLING “HER” SQUIRREL.
Dumbfounded I replied, “Sorry, not your guy.”
IS SHE KIDDING.
IS SHE?
Aside from not knowing this lady’s name, I don’t even know her. I see her occasionally walking her dogs, but literally no conversations have ever been held with her.
Reason #5324 I can’t wait to leave this complex.

LOVE your golden. we are thinking of getting one in the near future. Mind if I ask how you found your sweet pup?
THANK YOU! We love him, too. Can you tell?
Eric and I were in the market for a dog Golden, but wanted to adopt. My criteria was limiting though, so it wasn’t easy. Young, cute (duh), healthy, purebred, not a maniac.
I would look on PetFinder.com, local Golden rescues, and Craigslist. No real luck, but then my sister stumbled upon a Craigslist ad outside of Philly. His original owners, who purchased him from a breeder, couldn’t keep him anymore because he was too much. They clearly didn’t know how to handle dogs, and Macho isn’t small. Or weak. So they had to give him up. My sister and my mom drove out there to get him since they live in NJ. They said they would evaluate the situation and bring him home if they thought he was a good fit, which he was!
My parents fostered him for a week until we could meet the following weekend and then he was ours!
I’m not going to lie, it was tough in the beginning. But you need to bring he or she to obedience school unless you know how to train dogs on your own. It’s absolutely imperative. Now, he’s so good and we love him so, so much. I can’t imagine my life without him.

(Obligatory Macho photo)
I only have an additional 1.5 personal days because I didn’t start here until March.
STILL.
I just realized that we actually get FOUR personal days instead of TWO, which I had thought all along.
If I don’t use my remaining 2 by the end of the year, away they go. So, hellllllloooo Christmas vacation!
Glory, Glory, Hallelujah!
This ache in my knee that appeared today. The only cause I can think of is when my heel kinda slipped out from under me today. I didn’t fall or trip…but maybe something tweaked it?
Great.
I wish I could show you what I am in the process of making for my sister for Christmas…but she’d see it.
So that’s all I’ve got today.
My fantasy football record.
