Bean Bag Blog Update:
I’ve been chosen to be hired as a blog writer for the bean bag chair company I mentioned earlier! Making moves!
I have a feeling I’m about to learn a whole lot about bean bag chairs…we’ll see how this goes.

So in an effort to make a few extra dollars a week, I applied for a blog writer position with a local bean bag chair company. Random, I know. They e-mailed everyone who applied with a topic for a sample blog post as an evaluation method. I thought about it, came up with something good, and it turns out I made the short list!
I should find out next week if I’m picked or not…

Life
My life is seriously so busy lately. I can’t remember a time in my life where my weekends were as booked up as they are now. If you want to plan something, I need to know at least a month ahead of time. Most of it is due to wedding related things, but it’s just crazy! I actually NEED to use a calendar/planner for my personal life. I kind of like it.
Everyone around me is getting sick...

I would love to see that! I just said that I wanted to read her new book! Mafia stuff intrigues me.

I’m sucking it up and going on a run tonight. I could take the easy way out by saying “I ran 6 miles yesterday” but I’m not because then I’ll keep saying that and I’ll never get off my ass. I need to sign up for another race ASAP to keep me motivated.
Something that annoys me:
Dish soap never “cuts through grease” as effectively as they show in the commercials. You know when the squirt on the soap in a cute little zig zag pattern and you can see the food particles literally disappearing before your eyes?
Yeah, that doesn’t happen.
No turning back now!
People are starting to get the save the dates I mailed out on Friday! Not even just in Virginia, but in Pittsburgh and NJ. (I know this because people write on my wall to tell me they got them or sign the guestbook on our sweet website.)

So yesterday Eric gets a mass Facebook message from some chick he went to high school with, but was never friends with. In fact, he barely even knew her and maybe had spoken 3 words to her in his life. So the message said something like, “Hey guys! I got all of your e-mail addresses from Facebook so I’m going to start sending you some funny e-mails.”

Fall state of mind...
It may be 77° and sunny out today, but it’s Fall so I’m going to act like its 60-something and more fall-like outside.
10K #2!
2nd 10K went really well!
I finished in 51:45, 7:10 seconds faster than my first one in May! I came in 18th out of the women (official results aren’t posted yet so I’m not sure out of how many), so I’m pretty happy with my performance!

My right headlight/blinker is out. For some reason or another, this makes my blinker “click” a thousand times faster. I am not one of those annoying blinker people. Must fix, ASAP.
My heel has worn down to the metal part of the sti-letto, pump. This sucks. Must fix, ASAP.

Bagels
This is the one thing I miss about living up north: good bagels. In Blacksburg they were virtually unheard of. There are some chain stores up here like Chesapeake Bagel & Manhattan Bagel…and they’re OK, but nothing like the places at home.
But then, I found Ize’s near my work in Rockville, MD and they are by far the best I’ve had in the area. A nice little Jewish...
